The Australian Women’s Health Network (AWHN) is a community-based, non-profit consultative organisation with members in every state and territory across Australia who share the purpose of working to improve the health and wellbeing of Australian women.
AWHN works with policy makers, service providers and community to advance a national voice on women’s health through advocacy and information sharing. AWHN recognises the social, economic, cultural and political factors that impact on women’s lives and health.
The aims of AWHN are:
To maintain and increase a national focus on women's health issues.
To be a national advocacy and information sharing organisation.
To be an umbrella organisation for State and Territory women's health networks and for other national women's organisations which embrace our objectives and philosophy.
